Javier

Javier was born in Miami, his mother is from Camaguey, Cuba and his father is from Montevideo, Uruguay. He has been playing soccer since the early age of 4 years old. He is a Miami Strike Force alumni. He was a 4 year started at his High School St. Brendan. Where he was voted best offensive player his Junior and Senior year. He also lead St.Brendan to 2 District Championships.

He began coaching at Miami Strike Force in late 2003 where he was taken under the wing of Luis Carlos Perea, former Colombian World Cup players. It is here where he learned his love of teaching the game to youth players. Since 2003 he has obtained the USSF National Youth License, His National D license as well as the NSCAA DOC Diploma. He plans to obtain his USSF "C" in the near future. He is also a First Aid/CPR instructor.

As well as being a Miami Strike Force staff coach and Director he is also the Assistant Coach for the very prestigious Gulliver Prep High School Boys Varsity Soccer team, where he has been part of the Back to Back State Championship, 2014-2015.

Javier has been privileged to have been coached and mentored by many of the great coaches in the Miami Area, "Soccer" Tom Mulroy, Juan Carlos Michia, Nick Megaloudis, Daniel Prenat, and Luis Carlos Perea just to name a few.
